How techno was born: From Detroit to Berlin and again options interviews with Alan Oldham (DJ T-1000), Ellen Allien, Juan Atkins and the founding father of Berlin’s Tresor membership, Dimitri Hegemann. The movie explores the interval instantly after the autumn of the Berlin Wall and Detroit’s affect of the then-nascent techno scene.
The documentary has archive footage of Berlin within the late ’80s and early ’90s, together with the very earliest days of Tresor and different golf equipment, and classic interviews with Blake Baxter and Paul van Dyk. It was shot by journalist Ute Pfeiffer and uploaded to YouTube per week in the past.
