Berlin-based artist Monolink has shared his latest single, ‘Powerful Play’, out now via Embassy One. Following the recent releases of ‘Mesmerized’ and its acoustic version earlier this year, the new track continues his exploration of emotional storytelling through a blend of organic instrumentation and electronic textures.
Built around layered vocals and driving rhythms, ‘Powerful Play’ reflects on impermanence, presence, and the momentum of life. Combining acoustic elements with electronic production, Monolink delivers a sound that feels both personal and expansive.
The single is accompanied by a new music video directed by Vasco Alexandre and produced by Copenhagen-based production company FRANZI. The visual follows two brothers through a dreamlike journey where the boundary between reality and the subconscious is blurred. A ghostly figure, representing their shared struggles and unspoken connection, shadows them throughout the film. In its closing sequence, the brothers break into a cathartic sprint—symbolizing a release from the past and a step into renewal.
Monolink describes the track as a reflection of life’s unstoppable momentum. The video complements this idea, weaving surreal imagery with grounded emotional narratives to highlight resilience and release.
