Thaddeus X debuts on Lucidflow together with his new three-track EP ‘Ascending,’ now accessible via the Berlin-based imprint.
A mirrored image of his Caribbean roots and experimental leanings, ‘Ascending’ reveals Thaddeus X’s distinctive type—a mix of deep home, techno, and psychedelic heat. Built in shut collaboration with producer Iván Smoka, the discharge channels spontaneity via a lens of detailed manufacturing, leading to a piece that feels each instinctive and thoroughly honed.
The EP follows the artist’s current look on Mobilee Records with ‘Avril,’ signaling a rising trajectory for the artist. Here, tracks like ‘Colder’ and ‘E Last E’ discover cooler tonal areas and hypnotic grooves, whereas the title lower ‘Ascending’ culminates the journey in a state of radiant elevation.
